its a lyric wound down to 115mm which suits the Rampant ok and provides a slightly tougher, stiffer fork than using something like a Pike

its called "Mythic" because in England there is a big corporate company that sells a "carrera banshee" bikes and so we are not allowed to sell anything labelled "Banshee"....

its basically easier to change the downtube sticker and UK brand name to "Mythic" than never be allowed to sell Banshee in the UK ever again

btw...its a sick bike to ride, I am having trouble dirt jumping as its got so much pop I keep overshooting the DJs

with rockshox forks

damper is in one leg

spring (whether air or coil) is in other leg

so no, the little spring in picture is not the actual fork "spring" that holds your weight up, but part of the damper that provides resistance as the shim stack moves

its only Mythic in the UK, Banshee is able to sell as "banshee" into the rest of Europe

the reason? the UK's largest cycle retailer "halfords" sells a "Carrera Banshee" and has good corporate lawyers....

you are right...but even buying from one company does not work

my buddy has blue profile hubs front and rear and the anodising shade is different

why new rims? Singletracks are great strength to weight, and allow me to run a Stan's No-Tubes (tubeless conversion) to eliminate pinch flats, increase ground traction and remove 3/4lb rotating weight from each wheel

yeah its the UK version of the Banshee Wildcard

for legal reason, we cannot sell "banshee" labelled frames into the UK, so they are renamed "mythic"

its only the downtube sticker that changes, otherwise an identical frame

it looked like it was really hard to trick this first jump as the design of the start with the drop-ladder to flattish landing meant you had to try and maintain as much speed as possible here, to then do a trick on the next roller jump

basically a bad course design, the start should have been a roll-in tower to big trick jump to replace what you can see in the photo above

frame is GBP£899 in the UK, fork around GBP£600 in the UK...probably about GBP£2500 for the entire build

as a comparison, the 2008 Demo 7 complete bike is GBP£1999

the wheelbase on the Rogue is quite long but the bike rides really nice

and the tubing is certainly not thin on the Rogue, its actually quite a chunky frame, especially for Ellsworth!!

Josh Bender has been riding a Dare, Rogue and Moment for nearly a year and has not broken any of them, none of the Rogues sold into the UK have come back with any frame problems

same with the Moment, Ellsworth have not had a single Moment frame break in 5 years....

its fine uphill...have ridden some big hills in the past couple of days, just put the seat up, switch the pro pedal to max. and go pedal

downhill feels good too...use the 5" travel setting as this lowers the b/b about 4/5th of an inch and slackens the head angle and makes the bike rail so good...

they still make hardcore frames (Scythe and Wildcard)...there is nothing wrong with diversifiying into a different frame category?

its a large size...bit of a shame that only the large size was available for the photo as the medium and small have much lower top tubes

banshee's slopestyle rig for 2008. 5"/6.5" travel, hydroformed tubeset, reinforced faux-bar suspension, burly yet nimble

doesn't need the external welded gussetting of the older Banshee designs as the 08 bikes all use the new hydroformed tubeset that is thicker in the right place

chuck you are getting confused with the "old" chaparral (pre 2006), Banshee have not had a single "new" chap crack in that area
